This major public plaza, designed by P+A in collaboration with Richard Henriquez, is located atop “Little Mountain” in Queen Elizabeth Park on the highest point of elevation within the City of Vancouver.
The water supply for the City of Vancouver, contained within a large reservoir, is located directly below the plaza. Design elements include a major display fountain, Tai Chi arbours, a wedding pavilion, and the re-siting of a revered Henry Moore bronze sculpture. On sunny summer days, the plaza is filled with Tai Chi practitioners, multiple wedding parties, tourists and local Vancouverites enjoying the panoramic views or cooling off in the fountains.
